What to do once I’m Triggered?

Susan is using the RID method for managing her reminder.  RID stands for:

Relax…or calming yourself down.  Breathing or other relaxation techniques are very helpful here (see Relaxation Destination)

Identify refers to figuring out what is triggering you.

Determine how to respond.  By deciding how you will react you are gaining some control over your recovery.
